Photography lesson with Jun Hong and Mandy today!Met Mandy at the bus stop before heading to Cyber Centre to report. Met Jun Hong there as well before going in. And the first task we were supposed to do was to grab a camera each, and go around taking pictures of anything we wanted. The time limit was 2 hours. Super long la.So we walked UNDER THE SUN towards bedok reservoir. And I perspired. Freaking hot man. I bet I was tanned. Like a little bit. Ha ha.And we finished 30 mins earlier! Wee! So we had our lunch break 30 mins earlier. And guess who I saw at Mensa. Car, Jess, Jo and Ron. Like wow. Lol.Went back to Cyber Centre to slack before we made our way to the dark room. And the room certainly did live up to its name man. We were supposed to roll the film into some roll thingy in the dark, with the lights off. And when they really turned off the lights, the room was really dark. There was no difference when I opened and closed my eyes. And I couldn’t see my hand even though it was already touching my face. That was how dark the room was. No joke man. But it started getting slightly uncomfortable when they still didn’t turn on the lights even though Mandy and I have already finished everything that we had to do. That was because some other people were taking their own sweet time. Gay.Then many different chemicals was added to the canister holding our precious film. And a series of shaking, waiting, rinsing of our film followed. And when it was finally done, I looked at the entire roll of film eagerly and to my disappointment, more than half of the frames were black. Wa lao. Super gay la. All my effort under the sun, tolerating its killer rays and heat. Tsk!Then we were given blank pieces of paper, and then do some things (I’m lazy to explain. Heh.), and then develop our photos. Like those that you see on TV. Soak the paper in trays of different solutions and we will see the pictures slowly developing. Quite cool. So yea. All in all, the workshop was rather enjoyable. :DP.S: Mandy, I also lazy to scan the photos! Ha ha.
